At MWC last month, Sony released the flagship Xperia 1 screen 6.5 with a 21: 9 ratio. Besides, Japanese technology company also launched Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus.

According to speculation, Sony is planning to launch a few more smartphones in the near future. First, Sony will launch Xperia 4 in the mid-end / high-end segment in May and next in September is Xperia 2, the miniature version of Xperia 1.

Xperia 2 is expected to have a CinemaWide 6.2 inch screen with 21: 9 aspect ratio, 2880×1234 pixel resolution. The device will also be equipped with Snapdragon 855 chip and 6GB RAM similar to Xperia 1. However, beside the screen, the battery capacity of Xperia 2 is also smaller than Xperia 1 (3,000mAh compared with 3,300mAh).

Behind the Xperia 2 is expected to be equipped with 3 cameras. Although it is unclear whether the specs for Xperia 2 will be inferior to Xperia 1. The other parameters of Xperia 2 have not been disclosed yet.

Sony often launches new devices at the annual IFA event. Therefore, there is speculation that Xperia 2 will be released in September, within the framework of the IFA event in Berlin, Germany. Xpeira 1 costs 999 USD in the US so Xperia 2 will cost 799 USD.
